Yes, I know, this is everyone's favorite thread to read. However, it is necessary and I require that you please read it's entirety and sign before posting anywhere on the site!
Breaking any of these rules will result in a PM warning. If it continues then the individual will be banned for a period of time, the duration of which will be determined by the severity of the offense.
(Site Rules)
1. No spamming: Please post responsibly and refrain from only offering 2 or 3 words at a time, as well as making sure to keep from double posting. Also, don't continuously repeat the same post, if no one responded to the first it's possible that it was simply overlooked. PM that member if you really want to remind someone of an overlooked post.
2. No sexual harassment or overly vulgar references! Keep it PG-13! We need to be mindful of some younger members.
3. Please keep profanity at a minimum and PG-13 rated!
4. No slander: please be respectful of one another. This is very important. This is not the place to tarnish the name of another individual.
5. You may have only one account. Send me a PM if there is a special circumstance.
6. Do not abuse the bless/curse option. Please take this seriously. We want everyone's reputations to reflect the truth.
7. No drug or excessive alcohol references! I don't mind if you elude to an alcoholic beverage or any mild references so long as it is not in excess or graphically described.
8. Please restrict banner size to a maximum of 600X400.
9. No abuse of power!:If you are promoted to a staff position, you may never, under any circumstance assert that power over someone simply for the sake of doing it. Always inflict your punishments legitimately and never at the cause of personal dislike/disagreements. My staff are people I trust and I expect no one to take that trust for granted. If you feel you are being needlessly put down by a staff member, do not hesitate to PM me immediately. I am always willing to listen.
(RP rules)
All of the above apply including:
1. Do not give away common room passwords. These places are for the members of that house only!
2. Inform me of any complex story lines you have planned.
3. You must have an RP character to post in the RP area.
4. If you sign-up for RP, please attempt to be somewhat active. If you don't intend to be, leave that character for someone else.
5. The characters labeled "must be active," are intended for that purpose. These are vital characters to the plot line and one must absolutely be active with them. I know that things in life can come up so, if that is the case, PM me right away or in advance if you have a trip or something planned. I will always understand if this is the case. However, if one is simply missing in action, that person's character will be taken away after a duration of 4 weeks or after a duration of 2 weeks if that character is labeled "must be active".
6. No using the Avada Kedavra curse! I don't want anyone killing off other characters. The Cruciatus and Imperius curses may be used if, and only if, they are part of a plot line! I don't want characters throwing unforgivables around!
