Dear Milli,
Hello, you lovely serpentess. How have you been? one of the major downsides of graduation is that we don't get to see each other as much. Sure miss the late night dorm talks (gushing and gossiping and plotting). I figured a letter might be the closest thing to that now. Any news on the romance front? Sadly...I don't have anything new to share myself. Please give me something juicy to unbore me. I'm sure there's at least some new guy who's caught your eye. That's...actually kind of a sad thought now that I'm thinking about it. Sure miss Snape. Sorry to bring that up.
Moving on...yeah, new guys. Any of them suit your fancy? We're playing in the big bad world now, Milli love. The pool of available candidates has just spread into an ocean of possibility. Write back to me when you can!
Hisses and a bite,
P.S. If you don't have any news on the romance side, I'll settle for some gossip!

Dear Pansy,
Aww, I know! I miss it, too. We would always have so much fun, and we got to see each other all the time! It's really sad, not getting to do that anymore. I feel like I don't see any of you enough these days. I miss our talks. Leave it to you to come up with an ingenious idea like this, you clever girl. But...yeah, I actually don't have anything to share on that front, either. Sorry. I really miss Snape, too...it was horrible what happened.
It really kind of sucks about Draco and Astoria, though, huh? I always thought the two of you would be awesome together, you would've made such a cute couple. I don't know why he went for that random underclassmen, he didn't even know her that well. Maybe that's why, though. He wanted the whole...mystery factor.
You make a really good point, though. We both need to branch out more! We need to get out there and meet new people, because there's so many possibilities! That's actually a pretty exciting thought: so many new people to meet and get to know! And we don't even have any idea what we're missing out on right now. I'm really looking forward to this new journey of our lives, and we'll totally need to keep in touch every step of the way!
Can't wait to hear back from you! Sorry I didn't have anything juicy, I'll try to keep my eyes open so I can give you something better next time.

Dear Milli,
It really was horrible, and very unexpected. (RIP, beloved headmaster. You will always be remembered by your devoted house.) He was such a good man.
There you go, lady lovely. That's the spirit. I look forward to exploring the world around us with you, and you absolutely have to keep me updated every step of the way. I definitely intend to do the same for you. This will be our promise to one another, alright? And, on that note, any ideas for branching out? Let's just go all out with this.
Hm...maybe. Draco's always been so odd about girls though. I was pretty much right there all through the years and yet I don't believe he ever actually returned the way I felt. We would've been the dream couple. The Slytherin Prince and Princess, you know? I swear though, there were times when I'd even catch him staring over at that know-it-all mudblood friend of Golden boy's. And now he's with someone who supports his newest fixation with refusing to distinguish between blood status. Ages of tradition and he just turns his back on it, even going so far as to actively defend the low-borns. I seriously don't know what's come over him these days. Even his choice in Astoria is so disappointing, everything else aside. There's something about her that just doesn't sit right with me. I feel like she looks down on us quite a bit. Miss new age.
But oh well. He can have his strange attractions. I don't care what he does anymore. I appreciate you always having my back though, sweet thing. Write back soon!

Dear Pansy,
He really was. He was the best Headmaster that school ever had, even if he did only get to have the position for a year... He will definitely always live on in our memory, though! Even if nobody else could see it, all of us Slytherins loved him. I like this promise of ours. It will definitely push us to keep each other in the loop! Hmm...but, you're right, we do need to make this really count! The last time I talked to Paisley, she actually came up with an interesting idea. I don't know if you're going to be up for it, but it sounded like fun to me. She was talking about going out and having fun at one of those muggle parties. Apparently, they're really different than the ones we have here. It sounded really interesting, what she was saying about it. And it's definitely branching out a lot!
...I don't know, Pansy. Maybe she does look down on us a little, for those ideals, but...at the same time, I'm kind of on the fence about all this. After everything that happened, I have a pretty hard time...not agreeing with Draco on some of that stuff. I think he was just tired of it, after all that he went through, after everything...the Dark Lord put his family through, and that's why he's tried to steer clear of it ever since. I'm not sure about him actually ever looking at Granger that way, though. That would be...maybe a bit too much, he was probably just feeling competitive. You know how much it hurt his pride, the higher marks she'd always get.
It's good you don't care anymore, though! You shouldn't worry about who he likes, who he might have liked. You can just look at him as your friend now, you don't need to worry about anything beyond that. We just need to start looking around, get you a guy all of your own! Someone who appreciates you for everything that you are, and who will never be crazy enough to overlook you!
With love,
P.S. You're very clever, Panse. And I'm always gonna have your back!

Dear Milli,
We did. Even despite everything, including the fact that he was actually working for Dumbledore the entire time, he will always hold a place in my very exclusive heart. That's really saying something too. For me. He was what that school needed though. Everything was always so out of control under Dumbledore's rule. And he also played favorites, which I definitely didn't appreciate.
Yes, I'll say. Quite a lot. Paisley suggested that, huh? I do hope this isn't a new fad in the making. I suppose there wouldn't be anything wrong with checking it out. No long term options among those men, but I'm sure there could be a few who are good looking enough for a bit of fun. Let's just see how different these parties of theirs actually are.
Oh, it hurt his pride alright, and he was definitely competitive, but I spent more time watching him than most, and I know the difference between a harmlessly competitive look and one of a different kind altogether. Besides, he spent far too much complaining about her. So much, in fact, that it struck me as him just wanting an excuse to talk about her. Maybe it was just my deluded jealousy, but who knows? Stranger things have happened. I wouldn't put it past him. I suppose you could say that his tolerance towards the muggleborns has been rooted in him for awhile.
I know what he went through as well as anyone, and I know it was difficult for him and his family, but instead of holding firm to his ideals, he ran away from them. He has a weak constitution, Millicent, and he chose the safer, easier path. His entire family did, for that matter. There's a reason many of the Pureblood families have lost respect for the Malfoy's, not least of all because Draco's parents were responsible for the capture of a majoring of the Death Eater's after the Dark Lord was destroyed. They sold out the people they knew for their own pardon. I'm sorry, Milli, but that isn't ever going to sit completely right with me. They are completely denying who they are and what they should be standing for. Draco's little 'convention' has me very concerned as well.
That's right, my lovely! We do! And for you also. No more of this desperate pining you seem to fall into. We'll find you a man who will absolutely return your very intense, romantic feelings!

Dear Pansy,
No...I don't think any of us liked that very much. It was always really hard, the way he did that. Snape was so awesome, that he was the only one who really had our backs like that! At least McGonagall is more fair, though. She was pretty good about not showing too much favoritism. And, well...yes, it did turn out that Snape had sided with the Order all along, but...honestly, that part just makes me question the Dark Lord even more. Don't you think?
Yay! I'm so glad you're up for it! This is going to be a lot of fun, I'm sure of it! I know it's nothing long term, but there's nothing wrong with having a bit of harmless fun, right?
Maybe...I don't know. I really don't know for sure, it could have been your jealousy that was just making you super paranoid about any girl he talked about, or...maybe it really was something more. I can't say. Either way, it doesn't really matter, does it? You can't really control how Draco felt, I bet he could hardly control his own feelings.
...I understand. I know why it's so difficult for you to look past all of that, the Malfoys have been going through a lot of big changes lately. But, again...they had a pretty rough time when the Dark Lord was around, so it actually isn't very surprising, how their stance has changed on a lot of things. I don't think they were just being cowardly, I'm sure they're doing what they think is right. I like to think that, anyway, and I'm going to hold onto that hope.
That's exactly right! I've got to find a guy who can handle of this, haha!
With love,
P.S. Try not to worry too much about the convention, though, Pansy!

Dear Milli,
No, I don't agree. I believe Snape was actually a very tortured individual, confused and depressed. I couldn't possibly base my judgement off of his, however much I respected him. And yes, McGonnagall was better, but I still can't stand the woman.
Nothing wrong with that at all, sweet thing. We'll treat ourselves for a night, just let loose and allow our feelings to take us wherever they will. We can focus on our regrets the morning after *smirks*
Ha! You're right about that. Draco's always been way too emotional for his own good. It'd just be so like him to fall head over heels for his competition. He's always enjoyed a good challenge. Shame I didn't realize it at the time. I'm also well aware I can't control the way he feels. He really doesn't let allow anyone to do that, even if he should pay more mind to doing it for himself.
Well, you do that then, baby girl. Hold onto your hope. You've always tried to see the best in people, that's for sure. I love it about you, even if I absolutely don't agree. I haven't ever known the Malfoy's for being the sort of people to focus on what's right. Cowardly, however, cowardly fits them all too well. They look to their own self-interests above anything else.
You will! You'll find your Mr. Right in no time. And so will I *winks*
Hisses and a bite,
P.S. That's very sweet of you to say, but I'm afraid that convention will be on the front of my mind until the day I attend it.

Dear Pansy,
Well, I suppose that's fair. I'm not surprised you don't like her, you're always a bit harsher than I am. Snape...was a tortured soul, that's true, but I still believe he was a sensible person. It doesn't completely write off his judgment...? I don't know...
Haha! That sounds like a perfect plan, Pansy. We'll get to have all sorts of fun with it, too!
Yeah...that's true, he is swept away pretty easily, and he doesn't have too much control over any of it, but...I also don't think I'm one to talk. I can get pretty swept up in my feelings, too, and it isn't easy, trying to take charge of them like that. I just think you're a different person, you're better at doing that, you aren't carried away by your feelings. For people like me and Draco, it's a lot harder.
I know you don't agree. I didn't think you would, and I don't expect you to, either. You'll think what you will about them, and I'm going to keep believing this!
That's absolutely right, Pansy! I can't wait to meet both of them!
With love,
P.S. Aww...well, I guess there's nothing I can say to ease your mind, is there? You're too stubborn for your own good, bestie.
Hermione Granger: Ironically, the same thing happened to me. I'm glad you brought it up
May 24, 2016 2:50:37 GMT -5
Hermione Granger: It looks wonderful, though, doesn't it?
May 24, 2016 2:50:49 GMT -5
Draco Malfoy: It does I've been so excited for it since I first heard about it. Always been my favorite, after all. Combine that with you and it's nothing short of perfect. We definitely need to see it together.
May 24, 2016 2:53:18 GMT -5
Hermione Granger: Oh, we absolutely do! It's always been my favorite, too, but I know how much it's always meant to you. You've always sort of reminded me of how the prince was before he became the Beast, haha!

Draco Malfoy: Ha! Yes, and then somewhere during that whole transition...I became my father
