Dearest Lily,
Hey there, you sweet thing! Now, I'm just gonna go ahead and let you know now, just 'cause you finally accepted my oh-so-generous offer doesn't mean you'll suddenly be spared all this persistent admiration. No, no, missy! If this was all just some clever ploy to try to get me to quit bugging you, lemme tell you right now, you've got another thing coming! Get ready for a whole new level of annoying!
After all, if anyone can outdo the great James Potter, it's gotta be me, right?
And what better way to kick all this off than with a nice, semi-lengthy love letter? It isn't the first one you've gotten from me, I know, and I promise you it won't be the last, but it is the very first love letter I've given you since I was named your official boyfriend! As such, that kinda makes this a little bit special, right?
So...Lily. I realize I've got all sorts of boyfriend-like responsibilities now. I gotta make sure I'm on top o' this, at all times, so first things first: what are some of your most ideal date spots? I gotta know, y'see, so that I can plan all sorts of romantic occasions. I mean, I could always come up with stuff on my own, but I'm curious what you'd actually really like.
Question #2: best present ideas? Some girls prefer chocolates, others like roses (I'd totally give you something more you focused than roses, though, no worries! A bouquet of lilies is much more fitting, don't you think?), and then there's the jewelry lovers, the clothes lovers, and the ones who like homemade crafts and whatnot, and the sentimental gifts, or just grand, romantic gestures...boy, the list just goes on. You see why it might help to have an actual direction to go with here? That's where I'll be needing your fine help, darling!
Oh yeah! You like books, don't you? What books do you not have that you really like? Oh! And just for funsies, what are just some of your favorite books? And music?
God, there's just so many questions. But...I've got of plenty of time to ask the rest, right? I guess I don't have to rush into it all at once, I can go ahead and pace myself a lil' bit here. Not that I'd ever run out of things I want to know about you, Lily. Ahh...I dunno if I could even put it into words if I tried, how much I'm looking forward to all of the time we're gonna get to share with each other.
Get back to me soon, or I'll bug you with an even longer letter!

Dear James,
Haha, I think I know you well enough to guess beforehand how you would behave in an actual relationship. If this was all just some elaborate plot to get you to stop with the annoyance, it would have been very poorly planned, wouldn't it? ;) And of course you'd be the only one to truly outdo yourself. Or so you believe. You do have a great abundance of confidence ;)
I suppose that makes this special, yes. I mean, mostly because this one will actually be reciprocated. It's certainly a factor which sets it apart from the others, huh? I can only imagine how euphoric you must be feeling. All that time and energy finally paying off in this way. I can't help but feel somewhat impressed myself ;) I have to give you that.
Ooh, how thoughtful. Allowing me the freedom to express my interests. Point for you ;) That is something you should probably know about me, and perhaps it might even prove a little difficult for you. Haha. I do occasionally enjoy my space, James. Of course, I'm looking forward to spending time with you, but keep that in mind. I will need some 'me' time every now and again. Don't be offended, alright? It has nothing to do with you, but it's something I need. Some quiet time to myself.
Ideal date spots though...I enjoy long walks, coffee shops, those poetry readings they sometimes have, nature trails, explorations through the woods, ice skating in the winter, spending time out on the lake during the summer, gardening (we could do some planting together!), and, well, lots of different things. That's all probably more than enough for a start though ;)
And sure, alright. I'll help you out with this little dilemma too. I do enjoy flowers, especially lilies and wild flowers. I prefer them from the fields over those store bought ones. I don't enjoy jewelry as much (unless you make it yourself!), I enjoy sweets on occasion. Not really grand romantic gestures though. I like simple things; small, meaningful tokens. I enjoy books, and definitely handcrafted items (they're always so personal), as well as artwork. Should be more than enough to start with in the gift area ;)
Well, as far as books that I don't have...I usually don't know what I want until I've browsed a little. Something has to stand out to me. I enjoy adventure books most of all though. I really enjoy the Chronicles of Narnia. I'd say they're probably my favorite. The Silver Chair most of all, I think. There's something so haunting and mysterious about it. As far as music, I really enjoy a lot of folk music and also some Indie artists. Simple, but heartfelt music, you know? How about you? What sort of music do you like? If we're interested in any similar artists, perhaps a concert in the park could be fun as another date idea :)
Haha, you're very sweet, James. I'm looking forward to this too. I can already tell you'll be quite the adventure. There isn't anything wrong with pacing yourself either. Sometimes slowing down to just enjoy it all is so very pleasant. You wouldn't want to overwhelm me with too many questions, would you?
I guess I got back to you quickly enough to avoid that lengthy letter of yours ;P Not that it wouldn't have been amusing, but I'm sure it would've made it much more difficult for me to respond to them both. Write back to me soon, James! I enjoy both reading and writing letters :)

To my not-so-delicate flower,
You're certainly right about that, my dear. That absurdly high self-esteem is one of my most attractive qualities, I'll have you know! Why, just ask anybody! And, uh...tch, yes. It would have been very poorly planned. And that just isn't like you, is it, Lily?
Well, hey, if you're giving it, I'll gladly take it. It is pretty damn impressive, isn't it? Or, rather...I am pretty damn impressive...aren't I? But, uh...*laughs* yeah, I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty much on cloud nine right now. I'm still having a pretty hard time believing that this isn't all just some crazy, elaborate dream I'm having (which, let me tell you, it wouldn't be the first time I've dreamt about something like this—not that that's all that surprising, I'm sure). I've honestly been half-expecting to wake up at some point, it's almost too good to be true. But, you know what? I'm gonna treasure this first letter from you always. Gonna put it right in my secret stash of creepy things I've been collecting/stealing from you over the years! (side note: they're not that creepy. At least, I don't think so, and Moony kinda confirmed it, and if nothing else, you can always trust that guy!)
But hey, no worries, Lily. I totally understand. I know I can be pretty damn intrusive, but! Now that I'm actually with you, I gotta say, I'm thinking I'll feel considerably less inclined to bother you every second of every day to go out with me. Just a feeling *winks ever so smolderingly* I won't be offended, I'm gonna make you that promise right now! You just say the word, and I'll give you all the space you need. You've never really been the type to hold your tongue about that kinda thing, after all *chuckles* Besides, I think that's only fair. I'm gonna have to share you with you, and you're gonna have to try and share me with my best friend...Sirius Black. And the others, too, of course. We're kind of a packaged deal, I'll have you know, Lils!
Ooh! I love all of these ideas! Exploring, skating, coffee?? I mean, can't say I've ever really been to a legit poetry reading but like once or twice with Remus, but I'm totally down for that, anyway. There's some seriously cool poets out there (*coughs* and no, I don't just mean that oh so ssserious friend of mine *coughs*), and it'd be neat to delve into some o' that with you. I like how there's basically something for us to do every different season. Ahhh...this is all gonna be so much fun! We're gonna get to spend seasons and seasons together, all year-round, years and years, and who even knows how long beyond that! This is freakishingly mind-blowing! And, by the way...totally up for some gardening with you, we can create a whole bunch of life together! *nudge nudge*
...Too soon?
(For real, sometimes I wonder if I'm a little too honest with my thoughts, I've kind of just been spouting them off as they come to me. Be sure and let me know if anything I say does offend you or anything, won't you?)
Hmmm...you're just callin' forth all kinds of creativity from me, aren't you, Lily? *smirks* But, you know me, I'm always up to the challenge! I like the idea of making stuff for you, trying my hand at all this new stuff! But, man...if I had known, all that time, that it wasn't the big, grandiose displays that'd get to you, that the subtle things would've gone way farther, I would've changed up my tactic years ago! Think I might've been a little too self-absorbed to actually notice, though, huh?
Ooh! That's an awesome idea, Lils! Actually, I'm pretty into the Indie music myself, and the folksy stuff is always lots of fun. It's lively, but kinda...I don't know, haunting sometimes too, you know? It's hard to describe it exactly. I'm not too picky about music, to be honest, but Indie's definitely my fav. That's a pretty neat thing to learn we actually have in common. Who knew? "Not I," said the fly! That's a pretty neat choice, though. I can totally see how Narnia would appeal to you. I guess stepping into the magical world must have kind of been like stepping into that wardrobe for you, huh? And, lo and behold! You met a wonderful, kingly lion who you just couldn't help loving. But anyways! Since you just kind of have to see it to know what you want, how 'bout you just let me know whenever something catches your eye, and I'll be sure and get it for you? Simple enough solution, if I do say so myself.
Now, that wouldn't be very fair of me at all, would it? It's not always the easiest thing for me, slowing down, not rushing into everything and taking the world all on at once, but...I dunno, maybe some of your knack for it will be able to rub off on me. I don't think I'd mind that at all, to be honest. After all this waiting you made me do, who knows? Maybe it already has.
I am so very, very glad to hear it, because I definitely enjoy it, too. Especially when it's coming from (or going to) you.
Still loving you (as promised),
P.S. ...Oh my god! I seriously felt my heart stop when I saw that! You keep this up, I don't know if I can actually take it anymore. I swear, I'm gonna die of a heart-attack! You're killin' me, lady!
P.S.S. That, by the by, in no way means I want you to let up at all! I'm just still trying to get used to this.
No, not like me at all ;) I'm far too clever. Oh, and I can just ask anyone, huh? I thought attractive qualities were more...circumstantial. A matter of opinion. Haha, although, it is an attractive quality of yours, I'll admit.
Yes, I'm sure you've really impressed yourself with this, James. Outdone yourself. Still, I think I enjoy how, even with that, you're still surprised and more appreciative than anything. Of course, you're very smug, but humbled too. I enjoy that parallel, I think. I have no doubt you've dreamed of me before, but I can absolutely say that this isn't just one of your dreams. If you'd like I can pinch you. Just to make sure ;) And oh! So, you dream of me and you have a secret stash? You were pretty much obsessed, James dear. I can trust Remus, but I also know how loyal he is to you. If anything, he might just keep quiet to avoid a conflict of interest between the two of us. Out of simple curiosity though...what are some of these things you've not-so-creepily stashed away?
Oh, well, isn't that a relief? *smiles ever so prettily* I'm going to hold you to that promise! And yes, I really don't have any problem speaking my mind at all. You never have to worry about me withholding my thoughts from you. I am also very aware of the entire package I got myself wrapped up with when I agreed to be your girlfriend. You four were inseparable through school and everyone knew it. No worries! I'm glad you'll have Sirius to keep you company while I take time for myself.
Haha! Glad you like them :) And yes, I know Sirius isn't a poet. Although, I don't think he'd be so bad if he ever put his mind to it. He has quite a way with words. Or so Emmeline says ;) You're right! There's definitely some options for us to enjoy year round. From one wonderful year to the next. As mind blowing as it is for you, I can assure you that it is equally so for me. It's a surprising thing for us both.
Oh no worries about offending me. It takes a lot to be able to do that. I'll absolutely let you know though! I also happen to enjoy your honesty, for the record. It's refreshing. I never have to do too much guess work with you. So, yes, let's just start with the garden for now, creating some plant life together, and we'll cross those other bridges when we get to them.
Yeah...I'd say that's a definite possibility ;) You had an idea of how you should go about things, approaching me or whatever, while failing to take my own personal interests into account. Oh well though. Something about it obviously paid off for you. It actually probably has to do with how genuine you are. I am looking forward to seeing your more subtle methods in the future though ;) It'll be different.
We discover new things everyday, don't we? There's always something. I'm so glad we can agree on this though! I'd really enjoy a concert with you. I completely know what you mean bout the haunting quality a lot of that folk music has. It might have something to do with the culture actually. Irish funerals, for example. They turn them into celebrations, something lively, despite the morbid theme behind them.
Haha, did you just suggest a pairing between myself and Aslan? ;) I never really saw him as a romance option myself, but hey, it's different right? To be honest, entering the Wizarding world was a lot like stepping into the wardrobe. It was a fantasy come true :) I was so excited to be here and I couldn't wait to explore everything I possibly could. And yes, a very simple solution. Works for me!
Oooh, you might be right. We'll just have to see, won't we? ;) I'd like to see you slow down too. Just another contrast to enjoy on my end. I'm sure we can learn a few things from each other here, James.
Lovingly,
P.S. I know ;) And besides, I don't think I would stop even if you asked me to. I enjoy surprising and catching you off guard. But aww, that's actually very adorable. I couldn't have asked for a better reaction!

My most lovely of ladies,
See? *smirks proudly* Sometimes, qualities are just so awesome, that everyone has to agree on how attractive they are. You don't even need to bring circumstance into the equation. My confidence is one such quality.
You like that parallel, huh? Well, I can very easily say that you are the only person who's ever been able to effectively make me feel humbled. So, you can go ahead and give yourself a nice pat on the back for that one, 'cause it's a pretty unique effect you've had on me, darling. And, you know...I just might have to take you up on that pinching offer, because this still hasn't started feeling anymore real to me. Just seeing you call me "dear"...god, it doesn't feel real at all. And yes, yes, I was very much obsessed, guilty as charged.
But, uh...let's see, what are some of those things? Figured I should start up a whole new paragraph for this one *winks* There was this one quill you used to use, and when the tip broke, you threw it out. I watched you do it, so, naturally, I just had to go and pick it up and keep it. I think that might've been third year. Oh! And then you had this really nifty muggle pen another time, and you tossed it when it ran out of ink, so I took that one, too, seeing as you wouldn't be needing it anymore. Um...this crumpled up piece of paper back in fourth year, when you were trying your hand at different signatures (boy, that one was pretty awesome! Just multiple copies of your name, all done up and pretty!) An old thing of your lipstick you tossed, too. Oh, and a bobby pin that fell out of that beautiful red hair of yours, I noticed it because I was sitting behind you that day. Maybe that one I could've given back, but people lose those all the time, I figured you wouldn't really mind too much. There was a bunch of other stuff, too, but that pretty much gives you the gist of it.
Hey, I'm pretty glad I'll be having him, too. Although...I'm not sure just how much company he'll be giving me these days, the way he's been getting so swept away with that fine Miss Emmeline *smiles* Wouldn't really want to cut into any of that time for him, but I'm sure we'll work it out. If all else fails, I know I'll always have Peter to fall back on. Glad to hear you'll be holding me to it, though. I won't ever let you down! And...just a side-note, you do have a pretty smile, Lils.
Huh...you know, I can see that, actually, how strange this must be for you. Total reversal here. As weird as it is for me to be receiving these feelings from you, I'm sure it's pretty damn weird to give them out, too. Oh well! We'll both have to get used to it, won't we? I gotta say...I'm pretty honored you actually think it'll be wonderful, getting to spend those years with me. Jeez, I'm not even kidding, you really know how to make me feel humbled here. Ooh, you and Emmeline been talking about that, though, have you? *wiggles eyebrows* What kind of things has she been sharing?
*laughs* Sounds like a pretty swell plan to me! I'm happy to hear you enjoy my honesty, makes this way easier for me now that I know I don't really have to rein any of it in for you. Ah, and look! There we have it again! You liking that...genuinity? Genuineness! That's the one! But, hey *shrugs* I had to make myself stand out somehow. How else would you have ever noticed me? Now, maybe I took things a little far, going down that end of the spectrum, but, what can I say? I'm a little extreme.
This is verrry true. You know...I think I'd like a good ole' Irish wake, if I were to pick a type of funeral for myself. It's a pretty great way to look at death, actually. Celebrating the life that was lived, instead of getting all down and depressed and mourning. It might even help put a nice smile on the faces of the people I'd be leaving behind, and I don't think I could ask for anything better than that. But yeah, concert! Let's do it, for sure! I'm really fallin' for that idea more and more, the more I think about it. You ever find yourself falling in love with an idea, Lily?
Just thinking about you like that is pretty cute *smiles fondly* I can't even imagine how it must have looked, through your eyes. I mean, I can try to relate a little, the way I am with muggle stuff, all the technology and such (which, I might add, is pretty freaking astounding), but I wouldn't say it's anything mystical. And, for the record, I wasn't suggesting a pairing with you and Aslan, I wouldn't be caught dead pairing you with anybody but yours truly *pushes glasses up* I was making an analogy between, say, Lucy and Aslan, with you and myself.
You know...I think you're definitely right about that, Lily. This'll be a very mutually beneficial relationship, between us two. Symbiotic *winks*
Yours,
P.S. Well, not sure I could have given a different reaction, even if I tried. I react how I react. Glad to hear you won't be stopping, though, dearest. I like it when you surprise me.
Hermione Granger: Ironically, the same thing happened to me. I'm glad you brought it up

Hermione Granger: It looks wonderful, though, doesn't it?
May 24, 2016 2:50:49 GMT -5
Draco Malfoy: It does I've been so excited for it since I first heard about it. Always been my favorite, after all. Combine that with you and it's nothing short of perfect. We definitely need to see it together.
May 24, 2016 2:53:18 GMT -5
Hermione Granger: Oh, we absolutely do! It's always been my favorite, too, but I know how much it's always meant to you. You've always sort of reminded me of how the prince was before he became the Beast, haha!

Draco Malfoy: Ha! Yes, and then somewhere during that whole transition...I became my father
