All around, the witches and wizards of Magical England walked leisurely through the streets, bright smiles on their faces at the prospect of it finally being Summer. The students were through with their Spring semester, and were finally able to walk about without a care in the world, able to just be themselves and enjoy their free time. Parents were walking with their children, couples were holding hands and exchanging kisses. The magical sight of it all brought a smile in return from the blonde girl seated on a bench beneath a billowing tree, the lush green leaves softly swaying in the cool breeze.
Narcissa loved Summer. She loved the beach, the delicious cocktails and seasonal fruits, the ability to wear whatever she pleased without the fear of becoming too cold with only a dress or shorts and tank top. It just made her feel so free. Maybe it was just the idea, though. Everyone knew Summer was the time when people got time off, and were able to hang out with your friends without having to worry about work or school. It was probably just a habit for her to be excited about this time of year.
Looking at the clocktower hanging above the town, Narcissa gave a small shake of her head, but she still wore a smile. She and her sister had decided to go out today, seeing as how they were both engaged now, and do some cake tasting for the celebration. Though, the two of them rarely went out together. They were just so different. Though, Narcissa assumed Bellatrix felt the same way about hanging out with her. They never really got along very well, due to the differences, but she still liked the idea of doing things like this with her sister. People don't get married twice. Or...people shouldn't get married twice. She was sure the former was the case for her, though. She was positive Lucius and her were just perfect for each other. They didn't argue very much, and they agreed on almost everything. If they didn't, they didn't really care that they didn't feel the same way. But, that wan't even too often. The only part of the relationship she had ever felt wasn't great was the fact that his mother was so cynical, and judgemental. She never really cared much for the woman's attitude. But, she would be spending much more time with her after she became her mother-in-law. She could hold her own against her, though. The trick was to just not let her words get to you. Which wasn't really hard to do, if she was telling the truth. She said some ridiculous things.
But, at the prospect of marriage, Narcissa couldn't care less what the woman thought. She just cared that she was spending the rest of her life with the woman's son. His proposal had been very sudden, but at the same time, she didn't really think they were going in any other direction. Marriage had always been an expectation for her, ever since going into the relationship. She just couldn't see herself being with someone other than Lucius. They suited each other perfectly.
When Narcissa learned about her sister's engagement, though, she couldn't deny that she was a little surprised. It wasn't that she didn't think Trixy and Rudy weren't a great couple, too. They really were perfect for each other. She just never thought she was interested in marriage. The two seemed very comfortable with...whatever kind of relationship they had, and she didn't care to ever question it. But, when she heard the news of their marriage, she didn't know how to respond. It was weird thinking of Bellatrix being a wife. She was just so...different. Though, she supposed the two were similar to her and Lucius in the way that they wouldn't really love anyone else. Sure, they had each been with multiple people, but they really only loved one another. So, despite her surprise, she really was excited to hear that her sister was settling down.
And, well...that's what led to this situation. Narcissa waiting for the raven-haired girl on a bench outside a few shops so they could help each other plan their weddings. It would be a strange day, hanging out with Bellatrix for so long, doing something...relatively normal. But, she was looking forward to it all the same.
