Harry Potter's eyes were shut tight as he breathed in the salt air and felt the cool breeze brush against his cheek. It was excellent! It was the perfect day to make a trip down to England's coast. The reports warned against beach travel due to a bad weather prediction, rainfall or something like that, but they were wrong. There wasn't a cloud in sight as he returned his gaze to the sky. Only seagulls flying so freely across the sunlit horizon. How he wished he could fly sometimes. He could ride a broom, yes, and he was a fair flyer, but it wasn't the same. Perhaps he could learn to turn into a bird someday, just to experience the sensation. Wouldn't that be something? He was ready!
But first things first, there was something much more important that took precedence over his dreams of flying with the seagulls. He had a date set with his gorgeous lady. Turning his head, he smiled at the redhead beside him. His fiance. He loved the sound of that, but calling Ginny his wife one day would be much more joyful. He could cry...and probably would, when the day came. Not that he minded. Harry Potter felt no shame. He didn't care if his friends saw him crying on his wedding day. It was a day intended for such feelings of happiness, after all. He would follow the role to the extreme.
Harry's smile only grew at the thought. Reaching down, he laced their fingers together, the engagement ring he chose specifically for her catching the light as he did. It looked perfect, as if it was always meant to be there. He couldn't wait to join her with a ring on his own finger that symbolized his devotion to her.
Harry realized then how long he'd allowed his mind to wander and returned himself to the present. Lifting his gaze to meet Ginny's, he asked, "So, what do you want to do first?"
"And another one bites the dust, it's hard to lose a Chosen One. I'm still fighting for peace."

The sun was blazing down on the couple as they walked leisurely towards the pale sand of England's coast. Ginny had made occasional visits to this particular beach, of course, but those times were few and far between. As such, when the green-eyed boy had suggested their next date be a day trip to the beach, the young witch had absolutely no desire to refuse. She loved the ocean; the sounds of waves crashing along the shoreline and the stone cliffs that bordered the water, the salty smell in the air, the sensation of the cool, misty wind as it brushed against your skin. Not to mention, the most beautiful sunsets you could watch from the water's edge. She also loved the recreational activities muggles would often take part in when they visited. She wasn't very experienced at them, of course, but she rather enjoyed a good game of beach volleyball or even the thrill of riding the waves on a polished board. Even she had to admit...for being non-magical, these muggles were very creative and crafted the most fascinating inventions.
Turning to face the boy beside her, the Weasley girl couldn't help but smile at the content look on his face. His eyes were closed, lips turned up into a smile while he basked in the heat of the sun. They really had gotten lucky for this glorious weather. She'd heard from several of the people in town that there would be a rainstorm in this part of England, even Harry had mentioned it to her. However, being the stubborn people they are, the two refused to change their plans for the weekend. She distinctly remembered her fiancé telling her that most weathermen had no true way of knowing how the weather is going to turn out, and he was absolutely convinced today would be a perfect day for soaking up the sun and sea water. Not that she ever doubted him, of course. She, herself, had ignored the bogus forecast and completely agreed with the boy. However, she couldn't help but find it endearing how determined he was to follow through with their plans and take Ginny to the beach. She always loved that part of him.
When the older boy took her hand, twisting it a bit so he could look at the piece of metal wrapped around her ring finger, she knew exactly what was going through his mind. Despite the fact that Ginny had been pining for Harry's affection since...well, since she first laid eyes on him, he seemed to be the more emotional one between the two of them. All it would take was one romantic moment, one heart-felt statement, to bring tears to his eyes. She honestly wasn't surprised at this, though, she always knew the boy was incredibly sentimental and appreciated those small moments he shared with his loved ones. So when she caught him staring at the little, glimmering stone, she knew he was thinking about their wedding, about everything it meant for them. It almost seemed like a dream to her. After everything the two of them went through together, after watching the famous Boy Who Lived grow up with her silly big brother, fight off Tom...Voldemort and his minions every year he spent in that school, destroy all the little pieces of his soul, almost dying in the process, and saving the whole bloody world...well, a wedding seemed a bit anticlimactic, didn't it? Not to mention, getting married to that little girl who watched him all those years, who'd fallen hopelessly in love with him when she was only ten years old, who he saved countless times, who also happened to be the little sister of his best friend. It still seemed silly to her that she actually got him to love her back, that he found time in his quest to save the world to return her affection. Though, she would never admit that. While it was still unbelievable, she knew denying reality would be very foolish. It's not every day the one you've been daydreaming about for years says he wants to be with you, so she definitely didn't miss the opportunity. And now...she was just months away from tying the knot with the boy.
Quickly pulling herself from those thoughts, internally shaking her head at the emotional monologue she'd just gone on, the redhead caught her boyfriend's eyes with a smile. This was no time to get all sappy about her relationship...Harry's starting to rub off on me, she thought to herself while listening to his question.
"Well," she began, eyes once again taking in the scenery before her. "Why don't we find a place to set up our things and then take a walk? I want to just enjoy the weather for a bit before going out into the water."
"That is a brilliant idea, Ginny!" Harry nodded enthusiastically. A walk on the beach sounded like the perfect way to start this date. Perhaps they could even take another walk at the end, when the sun was setting. He enjoyed walking. He used to take walks quite often when he still lived with his unreasonable aunt and uncle, but the reason behind them was entirely different from now. Back then, he took walks to get away from his relatives and have time to himself, but he finds greater enjoyment in them now because he can walk without dreading where he'll be at the end. He could just go along without any specific destination in mind. Of course, Ginny's presence automatically made it better.
The young wizard then returned his focus to the task at hand as his eyes scanned the sandy shore. The only fortunate thing about the bogus weather forecast was that most people believed it and avoided the beach. It was mostly vacant except for a group of teenagers congregated around a parked vehicle, a single woman reading a book under the shade of an umbrella, and an older couple walking along the shoreline. Harry's gaze was instantly drawn to the couple. Their hands were intertwined as they walked, matching the other's pace and their faces close together, seemingly lost in their own world. It was a beautiful sight and something Harry hoped to one day experience with the redhead beside him. Even when they were old and grey, he hoped they would be as loving as they are now, still capable of being lost in simple moments.
After allowing himself another moment to watch the couple, Harry directed his attention to a vacant spot near the water's edge. It wasn't too close to the shore and it wasn't too far away either. It looked perfect from his angle. He started to walk towards it, pulling Ginny along behind him and pointing. "What do you think about that spot? There? It's a good distance from the water and we can walk without worrying if anyone will steal from us."
Hermione Granger: Ironically, the same thing happened to me. I'm glad you brought it up

Hermione Granger: It looks wonderful, though, doesn't it?

Draco Malfoy: It does I've been so excited for it since I first heard about it. Always been my favorite, after all. Combine that with you and it's nothing short of perfect. We definitely need to see it together.

Hermione Granger: Oh, we absolutely do! It's always been my favorite, too, but I know how much it's always meant to you. You've always sort of reminded me of how the prince was before he became the Beast, haha!
